She was crying as she saw the three Rabbi’s walking around in Jericoacoara, Ceara right before Pessach. She approached them and asked them what they were doing there? They had been sent by Beit Chabad Manaus to arrange a Seder for the Israeli backpackers traveling on their way to their next stop: Our Chabad House. As the lady heard their words she broke into tears. “I grew up in S. Paulo, where my parents were both Jewish but hid it from me until their death. I knew little about Judaism, if anything, but seeing you lit a spark in me to learn more,” she said.

For more than 50+ years, Carla, did not have contact with Judaism. However, the spark was just rekindled.
